Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman, visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka Saturday to extend Eid greetings. During the visit, he met with military personnel undergoing treatment at the hospital, including those injured during the July-August mass uprising, and inquired about their well-being while personally wishing them a blessed Eid.
Later, the Army Chief visited various army camps across Dhaka to meet with on-duty soldiers, reads a Facebook post of Bangladesh Army.

He exchanged Eid greetings and well wishes with the troops, who expressed joy and motivation upon seeing their chief among them. General Waqar-uz-Zaman also joined the troops for a special Eid meal, the post reads.
In the afternoon, a formal Eid greetings event was held at the Army Headquarters, where officers of different ranks, their families, prominent figures from the country, and diplomats from various embassies exchanged Eid greetings with the Army Chief. The event was held in a warm and festive atmosphere, reflecting camaraderie and unity.

The visit underscored the Army Chief’s commitment to maintaining close ties with personnel and reaffirming the morale of troops and patients during the Eid celebrations.
Earlier, the Army Chief separately met with President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban and Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Saturday respectively.
