Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman left Dhaka for Qatar on Saturday on a three-day official visit.
The army chief will be meeting high-ranking Qatari military officials and public officials to discuss and further enhance bilateral military cooperation between Bangladesh and Qatar, says Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR).
The army chief is expected to return home on May 5.
Previously, he made official trips to Russia and Croatia on April 6 and 10 respectively.
During the Russia tour, General Waker-Uz-Zaman had meetings with the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces
and First Deputy Minister of Defense Valery Vasilyevich Gerasimov , among other high-ranking officials.
In Croatia, he similarly met with Croatian Army Chief Tihomir Kundid alongside other senior government officials.
