The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Bangladesh and AmCham Singapore have held high-level talks to explore joint initiatives on investment promotion and policy support, aiming to strengthen cross-border business cooperation and facilitate smoother market access for regional investors.
The meeting, held at the AmCham Singapore office at noon, was led by AmCham Bangladesh President Syed Ershad Ahmed, said a press release.
Both sides exchanged views on replicable best practices and expressed their commitment to supporting member companies in navigating regulatory and operational challenges.
AmCham Bangladesh expressed its willingness to offer policy advocacy and strategic support to AmCham Singapore member companies operating in Bangladesh—particularly those with regional headquarters in Singapore—if they encounter barriers in the local regulatory environment.
From AmCham Singapore, the meeting was attended by FedEx Vice President of Operations (Southeast Asia) Bianca Wong, Mastercard Technology and Intellectual Property Attorney James Collison, AmCham Singapore CEO Dr Hsien-Hsien Lei, along with other board members and senior officials.
The AmCham Bangladesh delegation included Treasurer Mohammad Rashel Al Mamun, Executive Committee Members Abu M Rashed Mujib Noman, Rubaba Dowla and Mirza Shajib Raihan, Bdcalling IT Founder and CEO Muhammad Monir Hossain, Executive Director Chowdhury Kaiser Mohammad Riyadh, and Deputy Secretary Md Sanowar Hossain.
The visit reflects AmCham Bangladesh’s broader strategy to strengthen cross-border commercial ties and foster a more responsive business climate for both regional and global investors.
