The Bangladesh Air Force has officially inaugurated Provost Week 2025, with Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan presiding over the opening ceremony as chief guest at the Air Headquarters (Unit) Parade Ground. According to an ISPR press release issued on Sunday, the Air Force Chief emphasised the importance of maintaining exemplary personal discipline while performing provost duties.
During the inaugural event, Air Chief Marshal Khan directed airmen in provost services to demonstrate impartiality in law enforcement, exercise patience and wisdom in challenging situations, and perform their responsibilities with utmost dedication. The week-long observance, running until June 26 across all Air Force bases and unit areas, aims to enhance internal security, crime control, misconduct prevention, discipline standards, and professional awareness under the supervision of the Provost Marshal Directorate.
The ceremony was attended by Assistant Chiefs of Air Staff, senior military officials, and representatives from various agencies including Bangladesh Police, Fire Service and Civil Defence, BRTA, and the Department of Narcotics Control. Provost Week 2025 specifically focuses on improving the integrity, efficiency, and operational readiness of Air Force personnel in provost roles through coordinated activities.
