A motivated Bangladesh national women’s football team is poised to take on host nation Jordan in the second and final fixture of the Tri-Nation International FIFA Friendly Series, scheduled to kick off at 10pm Bangladesh time this evening at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman.
The match marks the conclusion of the triangular tournament for the team in red and green, who enter the fixture with confidence following a spirited performance in their opener. Bangladesh held higher-ranked Indonesia to a creditable goalless draw last Saturday, demonstrating resilience and tactical discipline.
Ahead of the decisive clash, assistant coach Mahbubur Rahman Litu expressed optimism, backing his squad to deliver a winning performance. “We are hopeful the girls will not disappoint. We’re aiming for a victory against Jordan,” he stated.
Midfielder Maria Manda echoed the coach’s sentiments, affirming the team’s readiness and determination. “We are fully prepared to face Jordan and are upbeat about our chances,” she said.
The team completed their final training session at Salt Stadium in Amman, fine-tuning their strategy and maintaining high spirits before the crucial match.
Bangladesh are utilising the tournament as valuable preparation for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, where they are set to face Myanmar, Bahrain and Turkmenistan.
With confidence high and momentum on their side, the Bangladesh women’s football team will be looking to finish the tri-nation series on a strong note against the hosts.
