The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has renewed its summons to British MP Tulip Siddiq concerning allegations of illegally obtaining a flat from Eastern Housing in Gulshan.
On Sunday, the ACC confirmed dispatching fresh notices to five Dhaka addresses linked to Siddiq, who is the niece of ousted former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, directing her to appear before the commission on June 22. This follows an earlier May summons that Siddiq reportedly denied receiving.
ACC Director General Akhter Hossain stated: “Given her claim of non-receipt, we have sent the summons via local police stations, registered post, and through physical postings at all five addresses.”
The case alleges Siddiq unlawfully acquired a flat on Gulshan-2’s Road 11 from Eastern Housing, violating several laws.
