Abu Sayed murder: Investigation report submitted to ICT

The investigation report of the Abu Saeed murder case during the July uprising last year has been submitted to the prosecution by the investigation agency of the International Crimes Tribunal.

A hearing is scheduled for Thursday at the International Crimes Tribunal-2, as confirmed by the prosecution department.

On June 24, the investigation agency handed over the report to the prosecution. The report indicates the involvement of 30 individuals in the murder of Abu Sayed.

In this case, four accused individuals are currently in prison. They are: former proctor of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, Shariful Islam; former assistant sub-inspector of police Amir Hossain; constable Sujon Chandra Roy; and Chhatra League leader Imran Chowdhury.

Abu Sayed, the first martyr of the July uprising in Rangpur, was shot dead on July 16 last year at the park intersection in front of Begum Rokeya University.
