AAUB holds 17th Academic Council meeting

The 17th Academic Council meeting of Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB) was held on 11 August at the conference room of its Dhaka campus, with Vice Chancellor Air Vice Marshal A K M Manirul Bahar OSP BSP ndc hdmc afwc psc ADWC in the chair.

Opening the session, the vice chancellor praised the collective efforts to transform AAUB into a world-class institution and described the Academic Council as a creative forum shaping the nation’s progress. He stressed combining human values with technological excellence and urged faculty, researchers and students to actively modernise the curriculum, adopt advanced teaching methods, and expand research to meet global standards.

He informed the meeting that several initiatives had recently been launched, including expanding research-based education, strengthening industry-academia partnerships and creating expeditionary training opportunities to prepare students for real-life challenges. He also presented a summary of activities undertaken since the 16th Academic Council meeting on 17 March.

Participants from the Bangladesh Air Force, Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Bangladesh Air Training Centre (BATC), Bangabandhu Military University (BMU) and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) joined the session alongside AAUB members.

All agenda items were discussed in detail, and decisions were adopted accordingly.
