Mahreen Chowdhury has tragically passed away after a valiant fight for her life. This braveheart, who saved at least 20 children during the Uttara plane crash, will forever be remembered as a true hero and a symbol of unmatched courage and sacrifice.

Mahreen Chowdhury, a 42-year-old teacher at Milestone School in Uttara, has become a symbol of bravery after the recent tragic plane crash. Despite suffering severe burns, she risked her life to save children near the school gate when the training aircraft crashed and ignited a massive fire. With 80% of her body burned, she is now on life support at Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s burn unit, fighting for survival.
Before being placed on life support, Mahreen told her husband that she was escorting children out of the school when the plane hit, and despite her injuries, she tried to protect them.
