A rear wheel of Biman falls off at Cox’s Bazar airport

A rear wheel on the left side of a Biman Bangladesh Airlines aircraft fell off at Cox’s Bazar airport immediately after taking off with 71 passengers on board the kite. The pilot,with outstanding aviation skills, landed safely at HSIA .

“No major injuries were reported” and the aircraft, BG flight 486, landed safely at HSIA with only one rear wheel , Biman sources said.

“The rear wheel is integral part of the main landing gear and luckily, the aircraft narrowly escaped major disaster,” says an aviation expert, preferring anonymity.

The rear wheel fell off immediately after the aircraft took off from Cox’s Bazar Airport. The pilot declared emergency and fire fighters and aeronautical engineers of Biman at HSIA were waiting to meet any emergency.
