As many as 38,570 Bangladeshi pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia so far to perform the holy Hajj this year.
Around 4,564 pilgrims have travelled under government management, while the remaining 34,006 travelled through private Hajj agencies, according to UNB.
To date, 96 Hajj pilgrims have landed in Saudi Arabia. A number of 86,213 visa has been issued to Bangladeshi pilgrims. The government quota for pilgrims is 5,200, and the quota for the private sector is 81,900.
The final outbound flight for Hajj is to be on May 31, Saturday, with Hajj being expected to be held on June 5, Thursday. Additionally, the first return flights are predicted to start from June 10 and will continue till early July.
Last year, Hajj was observed on June 14, with approximately 85,257 Bangladeshi pilgrims performing Hajj in 2024.
