Eastern Bank (EBL), in partnership with online travel agency ShareTrip and global payment platform Visa, has introduced the country’s first suite of lifestyle and travel-focused co-brand credit and debit cards.
Named the ShareTrip Visa Co-brand Card, the new product is designed for lifestyle seekers and frequent travellers, offering savings and privileges on flights, hotels, shopping, and other experiences both in Bangladesh and abroad, says a press release.
The cards are available in credit variants—Platinum and Signature—and a debit variant linked exclusively to EBL’s Super Saver Account.
Visa Country Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan Sabbir Ahmed said the collaboration with EBL and ShareTrip aims to deliver “value-driven, secure, and globally accepted digital payment solutions” for Bangladeshi consumers.
EBL Additional Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer Osman Ershad Faiz said the card will simplify travel payments while offering meaningful lifestyle and digital privileges.
ShareTrip Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Sadia Haque said the launch reflects the company’s focus on expanding digital services and enabling customers to access a wider range of tailored experiences.
Card benefits include lifestyle vouchers, discounts on ShareTrip Shop, air tickets and hotels, airport lounge access, eSIM data packages, travel insurance, and other travel-centric services.
The launch event, held at EBL’s head office in Dhaka, was attended by EBL Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail and SME Banking M Khorshed Anowar, and senior officials from EBL, ShareTrip, and Visa.
