The National Citizen Party (NCP) has begun its rally at Central Shaheed Minar to announce its manifesto, though the event saw notably low turnout as it commenced at 5pm. Party leaders claim the manifesto outlines their vision for a “new Bangladesh.”
Senior leaders, including Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, are currently present on stage, delivering speeches. While activists started arriving after noon, the turnout remained disappointingly low by the afternoon.
On-site observations revealed that despite expectations of attendance from various districts, the number of participants was negligible. There was little visible enthusiasm among the party workers.
The manifesto is expected to detail NCP’s policies on foreign affairs, food security, education, healthcare, economic reforms, anti-corruption measures, plans for expatriates, and urbanisation.
