The Dhaka metropolitan (south) unit of Khelafat Majlis has protested the ongoing genocide in Gaza in violation of international law and demanded an end to the Israeli attacks on Iran. They held a brief rally after Jumma prayers on Friday at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital. Afterwards they brought out a protest march from the north gate of the mosque and ended at Naya Paltan intersection.
At the rally, Khelafat Majlis Secretary General Dr Ahmed Abdul Kader said, “The OIC must immediately convene an emergency session to stand by Iran. The Arab world must stand unitedly by Iran”. The khelafat leaders urged the US President Donald Trump not to join hands with Israel. ‘Trump is repeatedly threatening to destroy Iran by ignoring the crimes of the aggressive Israel, ” Dr Kader said.
Azizul Haque, President of Khelafat Majlis Dhaka Metropolitan South unit, in his speech, urged the United Nations to take effective action against Israel. At the same time, he addressed the Muslim world, saying, “No more disputes among ourselves, we must be united to protest, resist and build a movement against Israel“.
Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Ahmed Ali Qasemi, Joint Secretary General Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Faisal, Professor Abdul Jalil, among others, addressed the rally.
