Following the obligatory Eid prayers on Saturday morning, Muslims across Bangladesh have begun performing animal sacrifices as part of Eid-ul-Adha observances. From the capital to every corner of the country, devout Muslims are fulfilling this religious duty with solemn devotion, conducting sacrifices in available spaces – neighborhood courtyards, garages, streets, and designated housing areas.

In Dhaka, slaughtering activities commenced before and after 7am across nearly all neighborhoods, with many starting earlier due to weather conditions. Overflowing crowds attended prayers at Eidgah fields, while mosques held morning congregations. Post-prayer rituals now include slaughtering cattle and goats, meat processing, distribution, and immediate cleanup operations.

Festive spirits prevail nationwide with visibly joyous people of all ages. City corporations and municipalities have deployed special teams for rapid waste disposal, with Dhaka North and South aiming to clear sacrificial waste within 12 hours using 20,267 sanitation staff.
