BSF pushes in 32 individuals through Netrokona border

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has pushed in 32 Bangladeshi nationals through the Jangkhal border area of Vijaypur in Netrokona’s Durgapur upazila.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained the group—comprising 9 men, 22 women, and 1 child—after they were forcibly returned by BSF around 3am on Tuesday.

Md. Abdul Awal, Assistant Director of 31 BGB Battalion in Netrokona, confirmed the pushback victims hailed from 10 districts (Tangail, Bagerhat, Satkhira, Jashore, Narail, Dhaka, Jamalpur, Brahmanbaria, Khulna, Sherpur, and Dinajpur). The handover process to Durgapur Police Station is underway.
