A Gaza civil defence official has reported that 91 people were killed in strikes and attacks across the territory on Monday, as Israel intensifies its offensive.

Mohammed al-Mughayyir, an official with the Civil Defence Agency, said the fatalities were recorded from the early hours of Monday. The department had previously reported a death toll of 52.

Since the attacks and the blocking of humanitarian aid into Gaza, the leaders of Britain, France and Canada have warned that their countries will take action if Israel does not stop a renewed military offensive in Gaza and lift aid restrictions.

“The Israeli government’s denial of essential humanitarian assistance to the civilian population is unacceptable and risks breaching International Humanitarian Law,” a joint statement released by the British government said.
