Police have arrested 46 people in special raids conducted across six police station areas under Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Tejgaon division on Saturday.

The detainees include suspects in regular and ongoing cases, convicted criminals, drug dealers, muggers, thieves, robbers, terrorists, persons with arrest warrants, and identified offenders, police said.

The raids were carried out jointly by officers from each police station, regular patrol teams, and special units under the supervision of Tejgaon division deputy commissioner Md Ibne Mizan.

In Adabar, police arrested 10 people and seized two machetes and a switchgear knife.

Fourteen people, including women and drug dealers, were detained in Mohammadpur, while seven were arrested in Tejgaon, five in Tejgaon Industrial Area, one in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, and nine in Hatirjheel.

Police said preparations are underway to produce the arrestees before court.
