A businessman has filed four separate cases against Pandamart, accusing the Foodpanda partner company of document forgery, misappropriation of money, threatening suppliers, and breaking a business contract.
The cases were filed on Thursday by Shihab Mahmud Bashir, the owner of First TeleSales Company, in the court of Dhaka’s Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sanullah,
The court said it would review the documents before giving an order.
The accused in the cases include Pandamart’s Co-founder and Managing Director Syeda Amberin Reza, Jubayer Siddiqui, Director Md Tabrez Khan (an Indian citizen), Senior Manager Sajedul Haque, Head of Category Dilara Faruq, and Executive Director of Category Management Md Toukir.
Confirming the matter, Shihab Mahmud said, “I had a business agreement with Pandamart, but they broke the contract. When I asked for my due payments, they threatened the supplier and forged documents. That’s why I filed four cases demanding compensation.”
His lawyer, Kazi Mofizul Islam, added that the cases seek a total of Tk 5.60 crore in damages from the six accused.
