234 new dengue cases reported in 24 hrs

A total of 234 new dengue cases were reported across the country in 24 hours till Monday morning, raising the number of confirmed cases to 6,222 since the beginning of this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the new patients, 43 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the rest outside it. Currently, 703 dengue patients are receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

The DGHS also confirmed that, as of writing this report, the number of deaths remains at 30, with no new fatalities reported during this period.

The latest data shows that Barishal Division reported the highest number of new infections, with 119 fresh cases. Dhaka and Chattogram recorded 32 and 29 cases respectively.
