PAGE Development Centre, a prominent microfinance institution in Bangladesh, has partnered with bKash to enable 2,10,000 of its members to make savings and loan instalment payments via the Microfinance payment option on the bKash app.
This collaboration aims to make financial transactions faster, more secure, and convenient for PAGE members.
According to a press release, the signing ceremony took place at the bKash head office, with key officials from both organisations in attendance, including bKash’s Chief Commercial Officer Ali Ahmmed, Business Sales Head Masrur Chowdhury, Microfinance Payment VP Tariqul Islam, and PAGE Development Centre’s Executive Director Md Yunus.
Also present were Directors Md Mujibur Rahman, Md AWM Wahiduzzaman, and Abdur Rauf Bhuiya.
With PAGE Development Centre serving over 2,10,000 members across 162 branches in Bangladesh, including those in rural and remote areas, the integration of bKash’s microfinance services will provide an easier and safer way for members to carry out their financial transactions.
This partnership eliminates the need to visit physical branches or carry cash, offering a more streamlined experience.
This collaboration will also help PAGE Development Centre reduce operational workload, speed up collection processes, and enhance transparency in its financial services.
For bKash, the partnership extends its reach within the microfinance sector and reinforces its mission to drive digital financial inclusion across Bangladesh.
